Something that I've noticed lately...

I have to admit that I'm guilty of this too, ever since Deviant Art released the new version that allows you to drag and drop faves into your collection box, a steady decline of comments, and people who even REMEMBER faving a work of that you did are on the decline.

I've noticed this not only for me, but also for REALLY popular people, people who used to get HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of comments, now only get 5 comments on their works, maybe twice as many faves, but people don't even remember that they faved it because they dragged and dropped it into their fave collection box...

They never even CLICKED on your drawing, or painting, or crafty awesomeness that you did!

For instance, say someone dragged and dropped your entire gallery into their fave box, or even just half of it and you go to thank them for the faves, they respond by saying... "And who are you?" and then you have to go back and say, "I'm the artist that you just faved the entire gallery of", and they respond by saying, "Oh I didn't even notice who's art I was faving."

I think it's a shame, I think we've all become lazy because of it. Personally I'm going to start trying to comment more on my fave artists pieces, because even though I've been really busy lately with work, I feel it's important to let my friends and fave artists know that I really do appreciate their posting art.
